Wallonia’s electric mobility sector is set to come to life with its ‘Plan Bornes’ over the coming months; at a time when the network is already stretched to the limit, yet decarbonisation solutions are being promoted more than ever. What if, instead of being seen as yet another problem, EV charging projects were part of the solution? We’ll show you that, with the right integration, it’s possible!

Dates
On May 22, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM

Event details

Come and find out how the two Walloon public schemes, “Communes” and “Autoroutes”, are being implemented, as well as the opportunities they present. Innovative projects, technologies and models will then demonstrate that effective integration enables the efficient roll-out of e-mobility within the Walloon energy context.

On the public sector side, the charging point plan has been launched: 1,650 charging points with a standard power output of 22 kW will be installed in 245 municipalities, representing around 3,300 ‘slow’ charging points accessible to the public, over the next 24 months. Building on this momentum, further charging points will be installed rapidly by local authorities (outside concession areas), whilst Sofico develops its ‘fast charging’ plan. In the private sector, projects related to charging points are gaining momentum, both in terms of number, scale and diversity, whilst Walloon SMEs are innovating to adapt to infrastructure constraints and market demands.

Come and discover these new developments in the sector:
